Custom Celigo APIs over NetSuite standard records, so a web app can read orders and create vendor bills and purchase orders.
The challenge
A web application needed to read orders from NetSuite and create vendor bills and purchase orders there, through simple APIs.
How it works
- NetSuite connection. Created a NetSuite connection in Celigo.
- Read API. Created a NetSuite export that retrieves orders and serves them to the web app through an API.
- Write APIs. Created Celigo APIs that create vendor bills and purchase orders.
- Use from the web app. The web app calls these APIs to create the records in NetSuite.
Highlights
- Proxy/API layer in front of NetSuite (API-led design).
- Read and write operations exposed as simple endpoints.
The result
The web app works with NetSuite through clean, purpose-built APIs, and NetSuite access stays in one controlled place.
